Anim8or is a 3D modeling and character animation program that I have written over the past couple of years, not as a commercial endeavor, but because I love 3D graphics, animation, and programming. While it is far from a complete professional level application like 3DStudio MAX or Lightwave, I believe that it has enough capability to be of use to others.

Small utility for converting AVI-files from MPEG4 or compressed Microsoft MPEG codec format to DivX or Angel Potion and back, XviD, 3ivx to DivX 4&5 and back. During conversion the the file header is changed but the actual video data is unaffected.

Exsate DV Capture Live is a fast and easy to use DV capture software for encoding to DivX, AVI, WMV in real time. The program automatically operates your DV camcorder and allows you to use batch capture, scenes detection, capture to multiple files, detects the end of the recording, displays the DV date time stamp within your movie. In additio the program performs some tasks to make the capture process more comfortable for you: rewinds a tape, shutdown a PC, etc. etc.

Segment Animator is a program that allows you to make advanced animations with only little segments of the full picture. You put these all together and it makes the full picture, take a screen shot with the built in function and then put the segments in another pose. You then put it all together and it makes your animation. It can be as simple as you want and contain only 2 segments or can be as advanced as you want containing 10 or more segments.

Chopper XP is a tool that lets you extract a part of any DVD easily. It is a Vob cutting program with a video display and a great interface, you just need to scroll to a location and select mark in and out points. The program also lets you set any priority of extraction and displays the estimated time left for extraction. Note: There is an older version of the program available for Win9x/ME.

Add pools of water to images or videos, the pools can be animated to give gentle rippling reflections of the scene above. Choose from a variety of ripples, and control details such as wave size and perspective. Save animations as Flash or video. You can even use the program as a free video to Flash converter (AVI to swf, AVI to Flash etc) by drawing a 'dummy' reflecting area!

Zwei-Stein is a free multitrack video editing/compositing system for Windows, it features an extensive effect selection and a unique, flat interface. AVI Maker is a simple but useful video creator. Just create Bitmap files and, using AVI Maker, convert them into your own AVI video files.

Pivot makes it easy to create stick-figure animations. You can build your own stick figures and load your own backgrounds. The animations can be saved as animated gifs to be used on web pages. An example animation is included.

CombiMovie is freeware which can combine two or more mpg/mpeg files into a single continuous mpg file. It works very fast, almost as fast as copying the file itself! Suitable for digital camera or internet movies.

Animation of the Mandelbrot set. This program can zoom and move on the fractal Mandelbrot set and creates a sequence of frames in JPEG format which can be used to make video clips with a video editor.

The Tapptoons Linetester enables animators to input their drawings using a scanner or compatible video capture card, edit the sequence with up to 7 animation levels, view the levels seperately or merged together and output the movie to an AVI file. Colour can also be added to the images.
