SilverWolf's Digital Diary is a Personal Journal program that uses a file-based relational database to store it's data, resulting in astonishing performance when working with thousands of records. it also includes a nearly instant search function, calendar based entry browsing, password protection (if you want it), printing, and it's freeware!

If you need a simple and free private digital diary for daily records, Advanced Diary is a perfect choice. It supports multiple diaries and multiple entries for a single day, is clearly structured and easily searched. Interlinking one entry to another is possible as well. There are two available modes - Calendar (show by date) and Document Tree (show by file). The user can access diary entries by simply jumping to a certain date or, using the Document Tree mode, open a desired file immediately.

The Diary Book, as the name implies, is software for those who wish to keep a journal, a diary of daily life. Not only does the software include a text editor, but also an event reminder, address book, an alarm, picture manager, built-in mailer, HTML & Web Diary and To-Do List. These additional features make the Diary Book much more useful to busy people. This is password-protected software and your diary content will be encrypted. The form shape is just how a book appears on your computer, it supports changing the skin for the main program and also changing the background image for the large diary editor. You can export to html format and the program features an agent character named Mr. Pencil.

eJournal is a software journaling tool that can be used as a personal diary or a project diary. It stores journals as XML files, readable by Internet Explorer. Within the application, you can perform the following: print entries, search entries, create new entries, merge existing entries, delete old entries.
