MidiYodi is a Java program that allows examination and playback of MIDI files, tracks can be muted, soloed, have their instrument and volumes changed. Track notes can be examined in keyboard-like or score-like viewers. It is available on both Windows and Unix platforms provided that Java 1.5 is installed.

Thinking Music is primarily a MIDI music file player which comes with a number of my favorite classical pieces which have been sequenced into MIDI format by devoted music lovers. Many of the tracks were arranged by myself. You are welcome to distribute any part of this package, on the condition that you do not charge any money for it, other than perhaps a small fee to cover the cost of distribution media. The Thinking Music MIDI player can be used to play any MIDI music file, and offers continuous play as well as customized play lists.

Juke is a midi player program that looks and works similar to a jukebox. It does not include an installer, put it in a folder with the midi's you want to play. Note! the folder must be the next level to c:\ such as c:\Juke\juke.exe, do not put it in a folder in C:/Programs/ - For Win95 and up, written using delphi.

MIDI Mouse Mod is another in my series of alternative input devices for MIDI information... This one allows you to move the mouse on a grid and modify up to 4 continuous MIDI controllers in realtime! If you've ever used a Korg Wavestation, and it's little joystick, this is like that, on steroids (but not anabolic steroids, those are illegal!). You can control the direction of the controller information (0-127 or 127-0), the screen space used (entire grid or just half), and if the controller switches to another halfway through. Very very very cool for synthesizers that allow realtime control of envelope, etc (like the Novation BassStation), or even for your run of the mill board (they pretty much ALL support volume and pan). This also has the Virtual Piano functionality built into it as well.

Arpeg is just as the name implies... A MIDI-based Arpeggiator! It can work with any synth or sampler you have, just load it up, set up the channel, and make the pattern it will mute/unmute to! You can even save out your arpeggiator patterns, and trade them with your friends!
