The main differences towards most other audio grabbers : Low registration costs (just a postcard and a stamp) :-) It works with a new technology, reading audio CDs almost perfectly. If there are any errors that can't be corrected, it will tell you on which time position the (possible) distortion occurred, so you could easily control it with e.g. the media player. I wrote this software, because I was fed up with these other audio grabbers. I always had to listen to all grabbed waves, because other audio grabbers will do only jitter correction but CD-ROM drives reading scratched CDs often produce distortions. Listen to all waves is a waste of time. CAUTION! This is still a beta version it should only be used by experienced users and feedback will be helpfull.

Blade's MP3 Encoder (BladeEnc) is a freeware MP3 encoder. It is based on the same ISO compression routines as mpegEnc, so you can expect roughly the same, or better, quality . The main difference is the appearance and speed. BladeEnc doesn't have a nice, user-friendly interface like mpegEnc, but it is more than three times faster, and it works with several popular front-end graphical user interfaces . Note: I have for various reasons decided to no longer develop BladeEnc. If somebody is interested in taking over the project, please feel free to send me a mail. Although development has stopped, it doesn't mean that BladeEnc has suddenly degraded. The program works just as well as it did yesterday and I will personally keep on using BladeEnc for my 256 kBit mp3 encodings. For anything else, I will use Ogg Vorbis instead.
