FreeSplit is a free Windows program that will allow you to split large files into smaller pieces or join a number of small files into one larger file. Supports very large file sizes and allows you to define the size of the created pieces. This can be very useful if you have large files that you need to put on removable media such as a recordable CD/DVD, USB flash drive, or a floppy disk. With the join feature you can join multiple server log files into one large file, or use the pieces from a split file to recreate it. As always, FreeSplit is completely free of charge. This program contains no spyware and is a standalone program with no dll dependencies. You don't even have to run an installer program to use FreeSplit, which means it can be run directly from a CD-ROM, Floppy, or other removable media.

SplitZilla is a file splitter for Windows that can split files into as many as 999 pieces, the split size is fully adjustable up to 2 gigabytes. It can make a batch file for rejoining, it can output to any directory and also create a sub directory.

DrCutter is a powerful file splitter that will allow you to break a file into little parts "down to the last byte".

TextWedge is a utility for splitting text files. It operates through an editor interface, with various dialog boxes for configuring the actions you want to perform. If you use it in "Preview" mode (virtual splitting), it can function as a multi-string regular expression search tool. Note that ALL operations occur against the editor contents, and that the original text file is only read once, when you execute "File | Load". This means that you can make any changes you like in the editor BEFORE you split, and the original file will be unaffected unless you explicitly save it. HJSplit is a program for splitting larger files into smaller ones. With it you can also compare two files for absolute equality, generate checksums, and last but not least: glue the previously split file-parts back together again. Very useful for transferring large files onto disks or through networks! Now also available: the little counterpart of HJSplit. It's called...HJ-Join. HJ-Join is a small automatic file-joiner which can easily be distributed along with files which are split using HJSplit.
