Febooti Case lets you change a file or folder's title name, you can modify the file name case by changing to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, tOGGLE cASE, RAnDom CAsE. It can process a single file or folder as well as a tree of subfolders.

TrID is a utility designed to identify file types from their binary signatures. There are similar utilities with hard coded rules, TriID has none, it is extensible and can be trained to recognize new formats in a fast and automatic way. TrID uses an XML-based database of definitions which describe recurring patterns for supported file types. N.B. You need to download the TrID's package (which contains over 1400 file type definitions) to use this program and it will also run on other versions of Windows if the .NET framework is installed.

WinSweep is a small utility which will allow Windows users to transform Non-Windows text files ported from other platforms (such as UNIX or Mac) into Windows format. This command line program waits until the file, specified as a parameter, can be opened exclusively. WaitForFile will wait indefinitely (and that is a long time!) until it can open the requested file.
