DiamondCS DelLater - It's free, it's tiny, it's OpenSource, it's easy to use, and it can delete files for you when all else fails. DelLater is the ideal program to use when you can't delete a file, no matter how hard you try. This is usually because an active process has an open handle to the file which prevents it from being deleted. Normally if you close down all running programs you'll find that most files will then be free to delete, but that's not always the case, and in some cases it may even be a trojan that's preventing itself from being deleted.

Index.dat Suite allows you to view and delete the following files - index.dat, Temporary Internet Files (TIF, Cookies, History, Temp files, Recent Documents, and Typed URLs. You can also delete the Prefetch folder contents and Auto-generate a batch file to assist in deleting the index.dat files in DOS.

Hijack This is a program that will help you work with the experts to clean up your system from spyware/malware/etc. It produces a log that can be posted to a computer tech forum for analysis and help. HijackThis examines certain key areas of the Registry and Hard Drive and lists their contents. These are areas which are used by both legitimate programmers and hijackers, it's up to you to decide what should be removed. Some items are perfectly fine, you should not remove them. Never remove everything, doing that could leave you with missing items needed to run legitimate programs and add-ins.

This program also has many unique features, like completely automatic protection against browser hijacking and monitoring browser plugins.
