Due to popular demand, we are
making the process of removing the internet integration feature
of Windows 98 very easy by releasing this little program. There's
nothing dangerous about using this program; it simply contains
about a dozen changes to the registry that otherwise would have
to be made with a combination of settings in Explorer, Control
Panel, TweakUI, and the Policy Editor. There's nothing in this
program that Microsoft hasn't already made available, albeit in
a convoluted collection of dialog boxes. This program does not
disable the Internet Explorer web browser, it simply removes the
controversial integration with the Windows desktop. |
